HolidayIQ Traveller Gourav Gaonkar says, “A very nice place to visit on weekends if you stay close to Mumbai. We visited it recently but it wasn't as cold as we had expected it to be, it was quite comfortable. Best place for couples to go on romantic holidays. It gives a different experience as no vehicles are allowed in the village so either one has to go walking or on horses. Horse riding in Matheran was a memorable experience. There is also a toy train running through the village”

Superb place if you want to just relax and spend quality time not many option for food ground other than 1-2 resort!! Tall trees will keep sun away even in afternoon. Wonderful sea almost flat for few km. Overall I will say must go place if you are looking to chill out."

HolidayIQ Traveller Samrudha Kadam from Mumbai shares, "The speciality of this place is that it is still unexplored, hence you can enjoy nature undiluted. No hustle bustle like other tourist places like lonavla and Matheran. Just enjoy the rough rustic stay with fresh oxygen to breathe in and enchant your soul. Unfortunately, there aren't much food options available so your hotel is the only place to rely for food. Nothing to shop either. This place is mean to enjoy the waterfalls and the greenery and the awesome lakes. Its quite a safer place with friendly people. A two to three days stay is required for complete experience of the place."

The main attraction over here is of course the beach, it's quite clean as you compare to most beaches in and around Mumbai and as you can see from the picture above it was quite secluded, may be because I was there on a Monday morning might be the reason."

Not much variety to eat. lots of temples to visit. Overall a good experience. Village is filled with coconut and betel nut trees. Life is slow here. Roads are not wide and be careful while driving. Bars are not many so get your stock. It is close from Chiplun."
